The Town of Caledon
Composed of a mosaic of 21 urban and rural communities ranging in population from 12,265 to 7, the Town of Caledon is the largest (and highest) municipality in the Toronto Region.
With such features as The Niagara escarpment (a world biosphere reserve), the Oak Ridges Moraine, and the headwaters of the Credit and Humber watersheds, Caledon boasts one of the greatest natural settings in southern Ontario.
Caledon also has a strong business environment. The Town's commitment to encourage industrial and commercial investment in the 90s resulted in the recent designation of an additional 1,200 acres for development. Hospitality, plastics, food processing, steel, wood manufacturing, and tool-and-die are among the main industries in Caledon.
